Event Styles

Hi Everyone! The 2011 wedding season is in full swing, and we are loving the color combinations & trends coming through for the rest of the season! We have seen deep colors used in so many events. Clients are choosing the softer option with hints of pastels everywhere - we're loving the soft pastel colours of lemon, apricot and lilac... And when individually placed with grey or silver, they all make a stunning combo!

 

We love working those planning an event to help create their dream theme. When we meet with our clients we discuss options to help create the perfect ambience - I believe that an event is made up of 3 dimensions... The most easiest way to explain this is that when I walk into a function, I don’t just want my eye to be drawn to one thing in the room. I want to start from the floor up & be WOWED on all the little details - I want to be looking at everything and every detail of the room! The most easiest way to do this is to theme your event by using the same colour throughout (eg. white), and then using pops of colour in flowers, napkins, place cards, etc .There's nothing more beautiful then walking into a completely white room with pops of pink in the flowers on the table and on the napkins.

 

My favourite theme to work with is Vintage - I know we all have different spins on what we call vintage, but nothing beats lace, pearls, crystal candles & candlelight.

 

Recently we created a photoshoot with so many lovely suppliers, and I wanted to share some photos of what we created. Sticking to the classic black & white with hints of green, I added a life size chess set! I think it's an fantastic piece to hire for an event, and it is the perfect addition to Cocktail hour! Trust me, your guests will love it and it becomes the perfect backdrop for photos. I have been so blessed to work with so many talented people in the 3 years that I have been working in events & weddings. I look forward to so many more!
